Before I begin, I must admit, I had a tough time trying to figure out how to start my year in review. After much thought, I decided I wanted to focus on my growth in 2019 instead of what has held me back.
Ah the Boothbay peninsula. Seemingly the birthplace of the Schooner, the busiest little port in Down East and the largest harbor north of Boston...where to start. Well, before diving too far into our “Boothbay in Day: a guide for the weekend warrior” I want to preface this blog with a quick status update for Paul Landry. As of October 15th, it has been a full year since I had stepped foot in Boothbay. I started my excursion here as a 1st mate on the Schooner Eastwind oh so long ago, providing me the working capital i needed to grow the company. You know it, I know it …. Exploration is not to be rushed. That being said, when I only have a few days between moves (Miami via Chicago), I decided the best way to explore was to plan it.
As most of you lobstah lovers already know, I took a leap of faith and accepted a yachting job working in Chicago. Although I am over the moon with excitement about starting a new chapter in my life, it was equally hard to close my last one.
We couldn’t have arrived any sooner back at the beach house before we were jumping into our bathing suits, loading up the Yeti, and cramming towels and beach chairs into the car to get on down to the beach before we lose all our precious spot on the beach.
